Summary: A one-shot mixing Avatar the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. When Katara is attacked by a mysterious Earthbender, she knows exactly how to defend herself.
When Katara is attacked by a mysterious Earthbender, she knows exactly how to defend herself but the oddest thing is when she asks her name.
“It's useless, you pest!” said her opponent, sending a large rock in her direction.
“I'm not a pest!” Katara retorts while cutting the rock in half with her water. “I am Katara.”
"Impossible. Katara is an old hag."
“WHAT?!”
Katara attacks with fury, her simple water stream transforming into a great wave but her enemy manages to protect herself with solidified earth walls.
“The Katara I know is an old lady, not a kid like you!” Said the Earthbender as she pushed her walls back into the ground.
"You're talking nonsense! I'm Katara." The young Waterbender retorted, preparing to attack.
"Stop saying silly things. Katara is...! Wait a second... that necklace you're wearing... it's impossible! What year are w...?"
She screams as Katara's water sends her tumbling further away.
"AH! Only a fool would let her guard down so easily."
“You don't understand...” Said the Earthbender as she rose to her feet. “I'm Kuvira and, if my instincts aren't wrong, I would have gone back in time.”
“Gone back in time?”
"How else can I explain your existence? As I told you, the Katara I know is old. Very old. She has grandchildren!"
Her words stun Katara for a moment.
"It's... It's impossible. You're lying!"
"I'm not lying. It doesn't matter if you believe me or not. I must return to my time. Korra must pay for what she did to me."
Katara wants to ask her who Korra is but Kuvira flees by creating a cloud of dusty earth.
“No! GET BACK HERE!”
Katara doesn't want to leave her be. Kuvira could hurt someone. The young Waterbender goes after her.
